Every two weeks, in each of our 5 classes you will focus on a NETS Standard using free web activities, resources, readings and videos of your choice posted on our
Take On the Challenge Blog. You will share your experiences online as you post your lessons and reflections about your students' learning with a team of colleagues and your online coach.
* This class also supports schools implementing a 1:1 laptop or Netbook initiative.
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
* Exam their pedagogical practices by exploring best practices that are aligned with 21st century educational standards.
* Implement instructional strategies that support digital learning opportunities
* Learn new skills that compliment and support the academic learning goals for your digital learners.

Class One Expectations:
* Read articles, watch and/or listen to videos and podcasts.
* Post a reflection on what interested you the most.
* Begin to think about your "Ultimate Challenge"!
Class Two Expectations:
* Submit a plan and begin to implement your "Ultimate Challenge".
Class Three - Five Expectations:
* For each class, focus on one of the NETS Standards listed in our Take on the Challenge Blog
- Design activities that implement Web 2.0 resources to use with your students.
- Submit an online lesson plan for each class.
- Give your cohort team members feedback about their experiences.
* Read articles, watch and/or listen to videos and podcasts.

Course Information:
- This is a 15 hour (1 semester hour) online course. It includes 5 (3 hour) online classes.
- Participants must have basic computer skills and feel comfortable navigating the Internet.
- Participants will work in teams to share their learning through blogging and sharing activities.
- All deadlines must be honored for teams to collaborate and share ideas. Exceptions on deadlines should be discussed with the instructor.
- The length of this course is ten weeks.
- Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate for Colorado State re-certification credit for 15 clock hours.
